Virtual Young Men’s Leadership Conference by Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association

The Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association presents the virtual edition of the Young Men’s Leadership Conference.
About this Event

The Young Men’s Leadership Conference (YMLC) is an annual, FREE, one-day conference that offers empowerment, enlightenment, and guidance to middle and high school males of color in the Greater Boston community (grades 7-12). By encapsulating and effectuating the mission and vision of Morehouse College “to produce academically superior, morally conscious leaders for the conditions and issues of today,” the GBMCAA hopes to maximize the potential of young men of color.

Since 2012, over 1,000 young men of color from over 60 schools in the Greater Boston area have participated and been impacted in the areas of college preparedness, career readiness, professional development, and civic engagement.

The Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association, representatives from our community, and corporate partners have led and facilitated nearly 20 workshops on topics ranging from S.T.E.M. and entrepreneurship to personal branding, civic engagement, and financial literacy.

The Young Men’s Leadership Conference seeks to:

Provide new and innovative approaches to guiding young men of color in the 21st century to live healthy, holistic lives;
Empower young men of color to make healthy and informed decisions concerning their lives;
Equip young men of color to recognize and develop their leadership skills; and,
Encourage young men of color to complete high school and seek higher levels of education.
