Studio’s

Our Story

We all met freshmen year at Morehouse College. Charles and I were roommates, 205 Thurman Hall and Craig and I were practically dressed alike, me being a smaller version that Leslie Mackey nicknamed him Big David and me, little Craig.

I believe the seed for Morehouse Studio’s was planted when we were students freshmen year. Spike Lee was promoting “She’s Got To Have It and later was auditioning and filmming “School Daze.” Similarly, Bill Cosby was frequently on Spelman’s campus filmming “A Different World.”

Over the last 30 years, Charles, Craig and I have stayed in touch and abreast of some of our separate affairs. But recently, Craig and I, attended Morehouse’s 2016 homecoming. He shared with me a script he had written. The story line, he shared, “would promote the mystique of Morehouse” and would be shot on Morehouse’s campus. We discussed it further and agreed to pursue it.

The following day, Dr. Howard Willis, President of the Morehouse College Alumni Association, asked me to advise the Alumni Association on developing a film/entertainment project that would raise funds for Morehouse College. He elaborated, ” Morehouse has many Alumni that could interviewed and these documentaries promoted.” I shared with him my meeting with Craig, I discussed above and agreed to support this new initiative.

Since, I have followed up with Dr. Willis, a brief overview of what I call “Morehouse Studio’s.

We are also seeking other Morehouse Men to promote the Mystique of Morehouse College inside and beyond her gates through film.
