Here in the Bay Area...

Tomorrow, October 18th, The Morehouse College Office of Admissions and Recruitment cordially invites you to "I Want to be a Morehouse Man."

Kory Hawkins, Recruiter from Morehouse College will be present along with alumni of the Bay Area chapter (including representation from Spelman College).  "I Want to be A Morehouse Man" will begin @ 7:30 p.m at The James Irvine Conference Center, 353 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Oakland, CA  (near 12th St BART).

@8:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.

These 1st Saturdays meetings/volunteer days are dedicated to advancing the concept of improving communities on "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Day of Service to become "12 days of service" (or once a month- The 1st Saturday).
We see the 1st Saturdays campaign as "the maintenance program" of many of the great projects that are initiated on his birthday.

Our vision is to utilize these websites: Morehousemen.com, mobetterfood.com, 1stsaturdays.com, friendsofschool,and the Intergenerationalenterprise.com to unite the food and educational systems locally, nationally and globally.

As the President of the Bay Area Morehouse College Alumni Association, I am hoping brothers come out and demonstrate what we can do here in the Bay Area to improve our communities, understanding our Brother and Sisterhood globally are watching to do the same.
